What is the day by day schedule?
Your VanMan experience begins on Friday (5:30pm) with a rehearsal (location to be confirmed) led by Chor Leoni’s Erick Lichte prior to that evening’s headliner concert featuring our guest artists and Chor Leoni in concert. We will adjourn in time to be seated for the concert which starts at 8pm. Your registration includes an A-level ticket to the hottest choral event of the season, and we’ve saved some of the best seats in the house for you.

Saturday is a full day (10am – 10pm) of shared rehearsals, workshops, meals, and two performances at the spectacular Chan Centre for the Performing Arts (UBC) A detailed schedule for Saturday will be emailed to registrants closer to the opening of the festival.

4pm – We sing the massed choir selections as part of the MYVoice at the Chan concert.
7pm – We sing as part of the VanMan Summit Concert. This concert also features solo sets by M’ANAM, Chor Leoni Men’s Choir, and Chor Leoni’s MYVoice choirs.

What is the payment process?
Payment is required upon registration and is not complete without it.

How do I get the music for VanMan?
Sheet music will be mailed to each registrant in January.

What meals are included?
Lunch and dinner are provided on Saturday, with vegan, gluten-free, and vegetarian options available. Please plan to eat prior to arrival for Friday’s opening rehearsal.

What should I bring?
• Your music
• A pencil
• Your own refillable water bottle. Vancouver has some of the best tap water in the world and bringing your own water bottle helps reduce our environmental impact.

What should I wear?
There is no dress code for the Friday rehearsal and concert.
On Saturday please wear the VanMan t-shirt and casual slacks or jeans.

How do I get my VanMan t-shirt?
You’ll order your t-shirt on the registration form and pick it up at the festival on Friday.

Can I get tickets for my friends and family?
Yes, singing for friends and family is one of the best parts of being a Festival Singer! The Festival Singers sit in a block together for both the Friday and the Saturday concerts. Your friends and family may order tickets here:

M’ANAM & Chor Leoni click here

Summit Concert click here

Both concerts are popular and all seats are reserved, so purchasing early is recommended to ensure you get the tickets and seats you want.

Where should I stay?
Vancouver has a range of accommodation options, but it is up to each registrant to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements. Chor Leoni does not arrange home stays.

How do I register our group of 10 or more singers?
We’re thrilled that you’re bringing a group to VanMan! Please have your contact person email us at and we’ll send them a group registration form. We look forward to singing with you!
